The Wedding Ring Story
…many moons ago I did the unthinkable, I lost my wedding ring.
And being a man, I didn’t realise it until I got a phone call from home.
‘Missing anything?’
‘Nope,’ I replied to Mrs Mac.
“You’re sure now?”
“Nope, everything’s fine.”
“What about your hand?”
Hand? I looked over them and gulped at the pale band of skin on my wedding finger.
‘Oh.’
“Yes, oh,” Catherine replied. “You know where I found it?”
My mind ran through all the scenarios, everything I’d done up to leaving the house for work. – Nothing.
“In the dogs mouth.”
“What? How?”
“I was in the bathroom, and the dog toddled in with it between it’s teeth.”
Don’t ask me how the dog got it, or why she didn’t swallow it, I’ll never know, but eighteen years later it’s still on my finger.
And hasn’t been back in a dog’s mouth.
Sometimes life can through some weird things at you.
And sometimes like ‘Lady,’ you can find stuff you don’t normally find lying around.
Take the WriteCome store as an example.
That banner over there mightn’t seem like a big thing.
But on the other side you’ll find courses and eBooks that’ll have you saying, ‘Where have you been all my life?’
You can click over there to find out what you’re missing out on, or if you’re too lazy, click here.
