What’s Your Gold Medal Going To Be For?
…”You can’t win a medal for more than one sport” – Jeff Hoffman.
Imagine spending the next 8 years of your life focused on becoming the fastest person in the world to run in a straight line.
Just picture that for a moment….8….years.
Mondays….it’s train to run a straight line faster than last time.
Tuesdays…they’re the same…fast line running again.
Wednesdays….yeah…you guessed it.
Thursdays….
Fridays…
Week after week, month after month, year after year, there’s only one thing in the world you’re committed to….running that 100 metres faster than anyone else can.
Now compare that to what the average person does when they go online.
One week, they’re a blogger.
The next, it’s a Facebook ad expert.
The third, it’s being an Amazon affiliate.
The fourth, it’s something else.
The fifth, “Hey, I’m a writer!”
And on and on it goes.
So let me ask you, what’s the chance they’ll be an expert at anything they do?
Not much, right?
With so much freedom to be and do what you want online, the people that get anywhere, or get anything done, are the ones that turn everything off but the thing they’re focused on doing.
Usain Bolt, didn’t do gymnastics.
He also didn’t do the shot putt. Or run the mile.
Because that’s not what he wanted to be remembered for.
What he did do, he excelled at. – Great genetics or not.
So, what about you?
What are you going to excel at?
What’s your gold medal going to be for?
If you want one, I’m afraid you’re going to have to stick to only one thing until you get there.
If it’s putting words on a page, or making content for others to fill in…..go here.
PS – If it’s anything else, you’re in the wrong place.
