There’s not many things you can control.

You can’t control how successful the next blog post, book, or email you’re going to write is. Sure, you can put the odds in your favor, but success isn’t guaranteed.

You can’t control what your competition is doing right now. Sure, you can buy software and spy on them 24/7, but you’re always going to be playing catch up. You also don’t know if their next move is going to be a good one.

What you can control is what you’re doing to make yourself better.

How better you’re getting at writing.

How better you’re getting at self publishing.

How better you’re getting at the work you’re doing.

Because as Terrell Owens says above, one day your coach is going to come calling.
