Copying Everyone Else Is A Waste Of You

…”Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.” – Kurt Cobain.

While there are some rules you need to follow in business, being the same as everyone else isn’t.

When you’re the same as everyone else…you’re the same as everyone else.

I’ve been thinking on that this past few days….hence the changes you now see over on the WriteCome blog page.

I’d gone down the….’I’m professional, fancy scrolls around letters, everything looking black and business like’ in the past….and honestly it wasn’t me.

I’d been too self publishy……20 ways to come up with book titles…and all that nonsense you see on
those blogs in that world.

All of which I can’t remember where I read it on, or ever been back to for a second visit.

Because like emails, they’re all copying each other. And all looking to appeal to as many people as possible.

Why be anyone other than yourself?

That’s why, when I saw the character that’s now part of the WriteCome logo, I knew he was the right one for me.

– I’m not like everyone else.
– WriteCome’s not like any other site out there.
– And he’s Irish too…a bonus in my eye.

Now I know some people will come to the site, see the logo, and either like it…or run for the hills.

But it’s more me, than the fancy scrolls or anything else that was there before.

You either like me…or you don’t.

So why be anyone other than yourself?
