4 Words That Can Make You Rich

…you’ve probably received a few emails titled…

“9 words that make him rich”

…this week.

This made me chuckle.

Yes, I do chuckle from time to time.

…hardly ever ‘lol’ though.

Weird? Everyone else online seems to spend their day doing it?

Anyhoo…I’m distracting myself.

Yes, the four words.

“Give Me Your Money!”

And if you’re carrying a gun or a baseball bat, you’ll probably do much better.

But seriously, there’s only three reasons people will give you their money.

They…know…like…and …trust you.

You eat where you do because you like the staff. And the food too.

But if the staff pisses you off, no matter how good the food is, you probably won’t go back.

You get your car serviced by the same mechanic your Dad does because you trust him to do a good job and not rip you off.

Your baby sitter is one of the neighbor kids. And you know the family ten years.

In each of those cases, the know, like and trust comes into your buying decision.

Yeah, you can play around with the title of your book, and make more sales. But if I don’t know like or trust you…it’s like handing out $10 bills to strangers on the street, you won’t be able to give them away.

(Google the experiment if you don’t believe me.)

But chances are you’ll take me at my word. Why? Because I show up here regularly.

And that’s a way of building trust.

That’s why we get attached to radio hosts, and day time TV presenters, because they’re always around. And that repetition builds familiarity and then trust.

That’s how a single word from Oprah can send a book into the bestselling charts.

You trust her.

And that’s why you should be emailing every day.

Now… “Give Me Your Money!”
