Who’s In Your Blood?

…sometimes it’s easy to forget the journey that’s happened on the way to making you.

You might just see ‘you’ in the mirror, but there’s a lot of ancestors there too.

You have the ones that had successes, the ones that had hardships, and the ones that just sailed through life without a care in the world.

But all of that is in there.

It’s easy to think that you’re the only one that’s taking a risk.

That you’re the only one that’s doing something they don’t think they can do.

That you’re the only one that’s gone from failure to failure.

Or that you’re the only one that’s going through a tough time right now.

But each step on the rung of your DNA’s ladder, there’s been someone that’s been in your situation.

Some of them in even worse places than you’ve been, and they’ve come through it.

So the next time you’re going eyeball to eyeball in the bathroom mirror, don’t forget there’s more than just you in there.
