“Nobody’s Going To Know….Nobody’s Going To Know”
…for the longest time, one of the things that held me back was worrying what the world thought about what I was doing.
What will people think when they find my book?
What will people think if they find my podcast?
What will people think if they come across a video of mine?
Do you know what the world thought?
Sod all.
Zero.
Zilch.
And you know what else I discovered?
I didn’t die.
The sun came up the next day.
And I still had a roof over my head.
Daft, right?
And yet we all do that.
We believe that the ‘Whole World’ is going to stop in its tracks because we hit publish on some platform.
As if we were that famous?
Heck, we forgot about Prince a week after he died.
And we believe that if we do this thing we’ve never done before, that our life is going to change forever.
You ain’t going to become Stephen King after writing one page of fiction.
All stupid things.
And yet in our head, they sound like valid reasons to hold off for another while.
You ain’t that famous.
You ain’t that important.
And you’re pissing your life away.
