Taking A Walk In The Wrong Shoes?
…picture the scene.
You’re about to go for a walk, but you decide to wear someone else’s shoes today.
Now, these shoes are two sizes smaller than yours, but you still cram your feet into them.
And on your walk, you’re crippled with every step you take.
You know you’re going to pay for it later, and you can feel a blister starting to form, but you keep going.
Now at any point, you could take them off and walk in your bare feet if needed.
But you don’t.
A walk that should have been the most relaxing time, as you took in the local scenery, has become a bloody nightmare.
Being a sane person, I’m sure you’d never do that to yourself.
But is that really true?
Right now, you might be living life in your parent’s shoes and what they wanted you to do with your life.
Right now, you might be living life in your kids’ shoes and how they expect their mother or father to live their life
Right now, you might be walking in the shoes of a teacher who told you that you wouldn’t amount to anything and that’s how you’re living your life.
Walking around in shoes that aren’t yours, will always feel wrong.
Walking around in shoes that aren’t yours, will always feel painful.
Walking around in shoes that aren’t yours, will always take the shine off your day.
So…
…are you wearing YOUR shoes?
Or are you crippling yourself, by cramming your life into a shoe that wasn’t meant for you?
