Sunshine Brings The Gobshites Out
… imagine putting on your running shorts and going for a run on the hottest day of the year?
Or squeezing your dad-bod into some tight lycra and thinking you’re taking part in the Tour De France?
Today I saw two of those gobshites, on what must be the hottest day of the year.
I wouldn’t mind if either were training for a marathon or the Tour De France, but I doubt you’ll see either at any other time of the year.
To the world, they’re trying to portray the idea that they’re the jogger, the cyclist, the weekend warrior, and that they’re made of sterner stuff than we are.
But the reality is, they’ll be the last ones out running through a winter gale or when it’s raining cats and dogs.
You can see a lot of that online too.
The borrowed bling, the poolside snap, the screengrab of fictitious bonus cheques… I could go on.
And don’t get me started on the ones that want to show you how to earn a 100K and are giving away the knowledge in a ten-dollar PDF.
The folks that have those things….don’t do any of the above.
They don’t need to, because they’re already there.
The folks that keep constantly reminding you of those things, you can be guaranteed aren’t there.
Like the girl who was constantly promoting a lavish lifestyle on Instagram, but was using her local IKEA store as the background for all those exotic bedroom and bathroom shots.
The moral of the story, the more bling you see the less cash they really have.
The more an expert they claim to be, the less they probably are.
That rule of thumb should save you a lot of time and money.
